Hongyuan is currently a Klarman and KIC postdoctoral fellow at Cornell University. He earned his PhD degree in applied science and technology from UC Berkeley in 2023. His PhD research primarily focused on experimental condensed matter physics, particularly the behavior of strongly correlated electrons in low-dimensional materials. He obtained his BS degree in physics from Xian Jiaotong University in China in 2017.
