Irfan Siddiqi is professor and head graduate adviser of Physics, director of the Quantum Nanoelectronics Laboratory and director of the Center for Quantum Coherent Science at UC Berkeley. He received his AB in chemistry and physics from Harvard University, and earned his PhD in applied physics from Yale University. Irfan is a fellow of the American Physical Society and was awarded the George E. Valley, Jr. prize for the development of the Josephson bifurcation amplifier; Young Investigator Awards from the Navy, Air Force, and DARPA; the Hellman Family Faculty Fund; the UC Berkeley Chancellor’s Partnership Faculty Fund; and the UC Berkeley Distinguished Teaching Award.
