Sudi is an experimental physicist. His research focuses on correlated electron systems, where novel phenomena such as superconductivity and magnetism arise from the intricate interactions among the constituent particles. During his Ph.D. at Stanford University, he carried out precise photoemission spectroscopy experiments to investigate the electronic states in the copper-oxide high-temperature superconductors. At ENSI, he is interested in creating such states in moiré van der Waals heterostructures and developing spatially resolved spectroscopy probes to study them. These highly tunable heterostructures may bring new insights into the correlated electron problem and serve as versatile platforms for simulating other quantum systems.
